Fabulous Burmese Antique hand-embroidered silver metallic thread tapestry. The tapestry depicts a wild animal scene in a forest. Each animal and tree has been skillfully embroidered. You can appreciate peacocks with embedded purple silk threads, palm trees embroidered in a filigree design style, yews with embedded green, burgundy and yellow silk threads, deer, elephants, flowers, and a fringe border, all embroidered with silver metallic thread. Absolutely stunning! A very rare find!! Measures approximately 33.5" long x 19.5" wide. Condition: Excellent condition. There are a couple of small dark spots on the light beige silk background.
